Weekend Machine Operator - Sign-on Bonus

About the role

AmeriLux Family of Companies is hiring a Machine Operator for its brand-new manufacturing plant in De Pere. The position is full-time on a 12-hour weekend shift (Friday to Sunday, 5 AM to 5 PM or 5 PM to 5 AM), with overtime opportunities available. Starting pay is $21-$25 per hour depending on experience and shift.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the material conveying process, including big-bag or bulk offloading.
• Monitor and troubleshoot material feeding systems to keep material flowing continuously and consistently.
• Set up, start, operate and shut down equipment, ensuring full project set-ups for quality production.
• Adjust machine controls during runtime to keep performance optimal.
• Perform machine maintenance and adjustments to meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Respond to alarms and resolve issues quickly to keep operations running efficiently.
• Inspect products throughout production so finished goods meet standards, and fix processing issues so customer requirements are met.
• Understand problems caused by upstream processes such as conveyance, forming and cutting devices, and help with fast changeovers to minimise downtime.
• Follow proper waste disposal procedures to prevent environmental pollution.

Required profile

• Ability to troubleshoot machines.
• Ability to stand 12 hours consecutively.
• Ability to pull, lift or carry at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work comfortably in a hot environment.
• Effective communication with team members and upper management.
