Web Developer (Remote, US Government)

About the role

We are seeking a Web Developer to support our government customer’s HPWS application. The position is primarily remote under a telework agreement, with occasional on‑site meetings at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance HPWS modules using Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Complete a 2‑4 week orientation project to demonstrate proficiency in the HPWS framework.
• Gather technical requirements from USAFSAM/OE and the HPWS Program Office.
• Produce technical documentation, including design specs, ER diagrams, test and deployment plans, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with 508 Accessibility (WCAG 2.0) and secure coding standards aligned with RMF, DoD, USAF and HIPAA.
• Deliver training sessions and demonstrations via Microsoft Teams or in‑person.
• Participate in regular project meetings and provide weekly status updates using government‑specified tools.
• Initiate and manage change requests with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Reside within commuting distance of Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base.
• Ability to work remotely with periodic on‑site support.
• Strong experience in ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Familiarity with 508 WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and secure development practices.
