Web Developer – Hybrid (Wright‑Patterson AFB)

About the role

The Web Developer will support the 711th Human Performance Wing (HPW) at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, delivering new and enhanced web modules for the HPWS application suite. This hybrid position combines on‑site work at the base with remote development via VPN.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain web application code using Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Develop new modules and enhance existing ones while adhering to program‑office coding standards.
• Complete a 2‑4 week orientation project to demonstrate proficiency in ColdFusion, JavaScript, jQuery and Oracle SQL.
• Gather technical requirements from the Program Office and produce documentation such as design specs, ER diagrams, test and deployment plans.
• Design, build and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases and related code.
• Ensure all user interfaces meet 508 Accessibility (WCAG 2.0) and secure development guidelines (RMF, DoD/USAF/HIPAA).
• Create training materials and deliver training sessions via Teams or in‑person.
• Participate in regular project meetings and communicate status using government‑specified tools.

Required profile

• Ability to work hybrid, with on‑site presence at Wright‑Patterson AFB as required.
• Willingness to complete a short orientation project and obtain any necessary security clearances.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with government stakeholders.
