Web Designer for Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)

About the role
FWI is looking for a detail‑oriented Web Designer to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Office of Corporate Engagement. You will create and maintain internal web sites and SharePoint pages, ensuring they are accessible, visually consistent, and aligned with DIA branding and security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and update DIA internal websites and SharePoint sites.
- Create web layouts, GUI elements, and content modules using DIA‑approved tools.
- Proofread and perform quality control on web content to meet DIA standards.
- Collaborate with senior developers, visual information specialists, and communication teams on new site builds, redesigns, and content deployment.
- Produce prototypes and mock‑ups, incorporate feedback, and test pages across Edge, Chrome, and Firefox.
- Handle web change requests within defined timelines and provide responsive customer service.
- Assist with Data Transfer/Removable Media duties and maintain required DTO authorization.
- Ensure compliance with DIA branding, security requirements, and Section 508 accessibility.
Required profile
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
- Associate’s degree in Web Design, Web Development, Digital Media, Computer Science or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 1‑2 years of front‑end web design or development experience.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, modern layout principles, and basic CMS/SharePoint environments.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Strong visual design fundamentals such as color theory, typography, and hierarchy.
