Web Application Developer – WordPress Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Web Application Developer with strong WordPress expertise to design, build, and maintain a modern, secure, and accessible website for our Philadelphia office. The role involves creating custom themes and plugins, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with WCAG AA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress sites following best practices.
• Create custom themes and plugins using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Implement responsive, cross-browser interfaces in collaboration with UX/UI designers.
• Integrate features such as search, file sharing, Google Analytics, and rotating homepage banners.
• Ensure WCAG AA accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and website security.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, plugin updates, performance tuning, and security monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web application development and WordPress.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
