Waste Collection Supervisor – Private Golf Club

About the role

The Waste Collection Supervisor ensures safe, discreet, and member‑focused waste and recycling services across a private golf club property. This full‑time role leads a team, manages equipment, and supports sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate waste collection staff.
• Enforce safety procedures, conduct briefings, and investigate incidents.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance, coordinating inspections and vendor services.
• Manage inventory of bins, PPE, and recycling containers while controlling costs.
• Coordinate service levels with clubhouse, culinary, events, and grounds teams to minimize member disruption.
• Implement recycling and waste‑reduction programs and track diversion rates.
• Maintain a professional, discreet presence and address member or staff concerns promptly.
• Prepare operational reports and KPIs for leadership review.
• Develop and update SOPs for collection, event support, and emergency response.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or supervisory training preferred.
• 3+ years in commercial waste collection, waste management, or facilities operations.
• 1+ year in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift heavy containers.
• Knowledge of local waste regulations and recycling best practices.
