Washer/Detail Technician

About the role

The Washer/Detail Technician is responsible for cleaning, deburring, inspecting, and finishing machined metal parts to meet strict quality standards. This full‑time position works in a manufacturing environment using both automated and manual equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automated aqueous washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and solvent degreasers to clean parts.
• Use manual files, deburring tools, abrasive pads, orbital sanders and scotch‑bright bits to remove burrs and smooth edges.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness, scratches, stains, and conformance to specifications using magnification tools.
• Blend tool marks, polish surfaces, and apply rust inhibitors or protective coatings.
• Review shop travelers or blueprints for special instructions and maintain accurate work records.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical handling and personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail‑oriented with a solid understanding of metal‑working tools.
• Ability to read part drawings and interpret surface‑finish requirements.
• Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Quick learner, team player, good communicator, bilingual, and strong work ethic.
