Warehouse Worker – Inventory Control (1st Shift)

About the role

Alfa Laval’s Richmond manufacturing facility is seeking a first‑shift Warehouse Worker focused on inventory control. You will support daily operations by performing cycle counts, location audits and pre‑production verification to ensure accurate material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and complete cycle counting, location auditing and pre‑production verification using SOPs.
• Perform scheduled and ad‑hoc cycle counts, recounts, physical verifications and document results in Microsoft D365 or other systems.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, coordinate with material handling and production to resolve issues.
• Conduct pre‑production audits to verify part number, quantity, condition and identification before release.
• Identify, label and segregate damaged or non‑conforming material according to procedures.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers and manlifts safely to complete inventory tasks.
• Participate in daily 5S routines and report safety, quality or equipment deviations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing or manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lb and stand or walk for most of the shift.

Required skills

• Forklift and order picker operation (certification preferred).
• Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic desktop computer use.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
