Warehouse Technician (Long Island Region)

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Warehouse Technician to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of its Long Island Region facilities, including Bay Park, Cedar Creek, Glen Cove, the Lift Station and the Collection Network. The role ensures efficient shipping, receiving, inventory control and compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately receive shipments and reconcile exception reports for open purchase orders and requisitions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Accounting and Operations to classify, inspect, issue, ship/receive and store commodities.
• Conduct monthly physical inventories and the annual Fixed Asset Inventory, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Manage disposal of obsolete items in partnership with Maintenance and Operations.
• Address customer service issues, back‑order discrepancies and vendor communications.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and uphold health, safety and environmental protocols.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• No physical restrictions that would prevent lifting, climbing ladders or working on uneven surfaces.
