Warehouse Supervisor - Xfinity Center

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and executes warehouse operations and procedures so that all product, supply and equipment needs are met throughout the venue. Working under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the supervisor supports event planning and preparation by assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to warehouse staff, while keeping safety, organization and sanitation at the highest level in all warehousing and storage areas.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure control procedures are used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies, and help maintain this supply system.
• Coordinate all warehousing activities with the management team.
• Receive and distribute supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.
• Use storage systems, policies and procedures to maximize the use and efficiency of space.
• Submit reports on damaged goods, outdated stock, over and under shipments and returns to vendors.
• Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages and over shipments, or arrange emergency shipments and requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, report safety incidents to the company's risk management system on the same day, and encourage team members to follow safety policies.
• Complete company-wide and job-specific safety training and perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• High school degree or better.
• Two years' experience receiving, storing or distributing food and beverage, supplies or equipment, including at least one year at a supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.
• Ability to work in a team and to understand and communicate written and oral directions.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; hours are often extended or irregular, including nights, weekends and holidays.
