Warehouse Materials Handler – 2nd Shift

About the role

This hourly position supports machine operators by ensuring a steady flow of materials and work on the 2nd shift. The handler maintains quality and speed standards, minimizes scrap, and guarantees accurate manufacturing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the assigned schedule to meet material handling demand.
• Set up orders according to specifications and adjust order forms as production status changes.
• Safely operate order pickers, electric pallet jacks, manual jacks, and reach trucks.
• Interpret raw‑material and storage‑unit labels and perform put‑away stages.
• Move material in and out of stocking locations using a scanner.
• Complete required paperwork, perform cycle counts, and wrap pallets for customers.
• Conduct dock audits and sign‑offs.
• Consolidate raw‑material inventory in SAP to maintain accuracy.
• Apply the green‑tag inspection process for raw materials before release.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and notify supervisors of any issues.

Required profile

• Hourly, non‑exempt employee able to work the 2nd shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Basic math and documentation skills.
• Capability to read and interpret material labels.

Required skills

• Operation of order picker, electric pallet jack, manual jack, and reach truck.
• Use of handheld scanner for inventory movements.
• Experience with SAP inventory management.
• Basic computer and data‑entry proficiency.
