VP, Strategic Finance

About the role

Join a high‑impact leadership team as Vice President of Strategic Finance, reporting directly to executive leadership across a portfolio of software businesses. You will shape financial strategy, drive operational excellence, and support an active M&A pipeline in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic finance function for multiple SaaS businesses, overseeing forecasting, financial planning, KPI reporting, and executive decision support.
• Develop and maintain advanced operating models, including scenario planning, unit economics, cash‑flow forecasting, capital allocation and performance analysis.
• Partner with CEOs and senior leaders to translate financial insights into actionable operational strategies.
• Own M&A activities: financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, synergy assessment, integration planning and post‑acquisition value creation.
• Prepare board‑level presentations, investor materials and executive reports communicating performance and strategic recommendations.
• Establish finance best practices, elevate analytical capabilities and mentor finance colleagues.

Required profile

• 3‑10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital or related fields.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive strategic decisions.
• Strong understanding of SaaS or software business models, key financial metrics and value drivers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Financial modeling expertise, building complex operating models from the ground up.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including acquisition modeling, due diligence and integration planning.
