VP of Finance

About the role

Burq is seeking a VP of Finance to transform its finance function into a strategic engine that supports rapid growth in the logistics and delivery sector. Reporting directly to the founders, you will own financial planning, capital allocation, pricing, and operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and maintain a rolling financial model aligned with actual results.
• Provide real‑time visibility into burn, runway and cash, and enforce capital‑allocation discipline across initiatives.
• Produce board‑grade financial reporting, analysis and ensure audit readiness.
• Define and execute revenue strategy, including pricing, packaging, upsell and expansion motions.
• Model unit economics such as take rate, contribution margin, CAC:LTV and net revenue retention.
• Partner with Go‑to‑Market teams on complex enterprise pricing and revenue forecasting.
• Scale accounting operations, implement robust financial controls and policies.

Required profile

• Seasoned finance leader comfortable partnering with founders and influencing strategic decisions.
• Hands‑on builder who can construct the first spreadsheet model and present it to the board.
• High ownership mindset with ability to drive cross‑functional initiatives.
