VP, Investment Banking Healthcare

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Vice President for its Healthcare practice in its Investment Banking division, based in New York. The role advises clients on high-profile, multi-layered transactions and works closely with strategic corporations and private equity firms. It is part of the Coverage and M&A business area and is regulated by FINRA.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, understand their needs and financial goals, and propose investment banking solutions
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation
• Generate ideas and identify opportunities that expand the client base and create new business
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft and maintain transaction documentation, including contracts and agreements
• Work with Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research and Risk Management teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
• Engage with clients on climate, transition strategies and sustainable finance opportunities where applicable
• Set strategy, plan resources and budgets, manage policies and processes, and advise stakeholders and senior management

Required profile

• Track record of contributing to large deal execution, predominantly in healthcare services
• Experience with Investment Banking and Capital Markets transactions, especially sell-side M&A
• Ability to collaborate with and mentor junior team members, and to present complex ideas to clients and stakeholders
• Organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills

The advertised salary range is $250,000 to $275,000, which covers only base salary or base hourly rate.
