Visiting Resident (GME) – Contingent Worker

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks qualified graduate medical education (GME) residents to join as contingent visiting residents. This position involves completing clinical rotations at UAMS or Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) while contributing to patient care and learning within a collaborative academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in supervised clinical rotations at UAMS or ACH.
• Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of attending physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in an ACGME‑accredited residency program.
• Physician status meeting Arkansas State Medical Board licensure exemption.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on day one.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
