Virtual Academic Tutor

About the role

Tutor Me Education is seeking experienced academic tutors to deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group virtual instruction to students nationwide. The focus is on learners with IEPs, 504 plans, and diverse learning needs, offering the flexibility to set your own schedule and hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual lessons aligned with each student’s goals, accommodations, and learning profile.
• Create structured lesson plans that meet grade‑level standards and specific accommodations.
• Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement.
• Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and, when applicable, school‑district partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, or related field preferred).
• Experience supporting students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special‑education needs.
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations such as extended time, chunked instruction, and multi‑sensory approaches.
• Ability to pass a background check and maintain a reliable home office setup.

Required skills

• Strong virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video‑conferencing platforms and digital whiteboards.
