About the role
The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at Georgetown University seeks a skilled Videographer to produce high‑quality video content for online programs. You will collaborate with faculty, instructional designers, and media teams to bring educational concepts to life through video.
Key responsibilities
- Set up staging, camera, lighting, and audio equipment for recordings.
- Operate cameras and capture video and audio footage.
- Log, edit, and apply basic video effects and motion graphics.
- Manage studio equipment, organization, and scheduling of recordings.
- Track multimedia project status and act as project manager for video deliverables.
- Consult with faculty and subject‑matter experts on script writing, remote filming setups, and multimedia delivery strategies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience operating video equipment and editing software.
- Strong ability to work independently and communicate effectively with academic partners.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Premiere.
- Experience creating motion graphics and animation.
- Knowledge of video compression formats, 4K workflows, and multi‑format recording.
- Understanding of audio recording and lighting techniques.
