Video Editor (Remote, Full‑time)

About the role

YAP Media is looking for a full‑time Video Editor to support the Young and Profiting Podcast. You will transform raw interview footage into engaging trailers and short‑form clips that drive high engagement on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Edit 10–15 short clips (30‑90 seconds) each week, using pre‑selected raw footage.
• Add music, motion graphics, text overlays and transitions to enhance storytelling.
• Create eye‑catching thumbnails that encourage clicks.
• Maintain visual quality and brand consistency across all videos.
• Monitor competitor content on Shorts, Reels and TikTok for inspiration.
• Produce a monthly trends report for the production team.

Required profile

• Creative, detail‑obsessed and able to work independently.
• Comfortable collaborating remotely with the CEO, podcast host and a small creative team.
• Passionate about podcasts and social‑media video formats.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Riverside.fm for raw footage handling.
• Experience using Descript for audio‑video editing.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
