Vice President, Supply Chain

About the role

The company, a PE‑backed specialty food manufacturer with over $250M in revenue, is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain to own the entire upstream supply chain. Reporting to the executive team, the VP will partner daily with Operations, Finance, R&D, QA, and Commercial to ensure uninterrupted, cost‑competitive supply for major retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual procurement savings plan, reporting results to the CEO and CFO.
• Define sourcing strategy for raw materials, packaging, indirect spend, and co‑manufacturing services; run structured RFPs.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and service levels with strategic suppliers and co‑packers.
• Build and maintain a diversification matrix to eliminate single‑source dependencies.
• Lead co‑packer network strategy, ensuring redundant external capacity and seamless integration with internal production.
• Manage raw material and packaging inventory to meet production continuity, working‑capital, and shelf‑life targets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in manufacturing supply chain leadership.
• Proven track record of creating vendor redundancy and managing co‑manufacturing partners.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution ability.
• Strong collaboration skills across Operations, Finance, R&D, QA, and Commercial.
