Vice President, Research & Development (Remote)

About the role

Amazing Charts, a division of Harris, is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development to lead its R&D organization. This senior leader will define technical and delivery strategy for a mission‑critical healthcare platform, guiding its evolution toward modern architecture, predictable delivery, and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary R&D team including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and delivery functions.
• Translate business strategy and product priorities into executable technical roadmaps.
• Provide architectural and technical leadership across the product portfolio.
• Own delivery outcomes such as predictability, quality, and platform stability.
• Manage the R&D budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial trade‑offs.
• Evaluate and govern the use of AI‑enabled technologies in development and operations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in software development or technology organizations.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern software architecture.
• 5+ years of hands‑on development experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing R&D budgets and financial outcomes.
• Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and ability to make decisions under real constraints.
