Vice President, Professional Services

About the role

Datarails is looking for a Vice President of Professional Services to lead its customer‑facing services organization. This senior leader will own the delivery of strategic, optimization and advisory engagements on the company’s SaaS platform, while building an AI Enablement & Consulting practice that helps finance teams extract maximum value from emerging AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all Professional Services engagements, including product optimization, workflow transformation and value‑realization initiatives.
• Design, launch and scale an AI Enablement & Consulting practice with defined service offerings and methodologies.
• Drive customer outcomes that increase product adoption, retention, expansion and overall lifetime value.
• Own the financial performance of the Professional Services unit, meeting revenue, margin and utilization targets.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for project delivery, resource utilization, customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Develop project‑management standards, communication frameworks and governance processes.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product and Engineering to align services with customer needs and company strategy.
• Identify, package and commercialize new consulting and AI‑focused service offerings.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing team of consultants, project managers and subject‑matter experts.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience leading Professional Services, Consulting or Customer Success functions in a SaaS environment.
• Proven track record of building and scaling customer‑facing consulting or professional services organizations.
• Experience managing services P&L, utilization, project delivery and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of customer adoption, retention and value realization in finance‑technology solutions.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States Eastern time zone.
