Vice President, Procurement Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Vice President of Procurement Operations to lead the firm‑wide Purchase‑to‑Order function that supports over $5 billion of annual procurement. The role owns end‑to‑end execution, governance and risk for the procurement organization across Morgan Stanley.

Key responsibilities

• Own the firm‑wide Purchase‑to‑Order operations, including demand intake, prioritisation and escalation.
• Translate corporate technology strategy into scalable procurement execution, aligning sourcing frameworks with architecture, financial discipline and regulatory expectations.
• Define and govern the procurement catalog to drive standardisation, preferred‑supplier adoption, negotiated pricing and compliant purchasing behaviour.
• Lead procurement governance, risk and controls, identifying and mitigating operational, supplier and compliance risks, and managing audit and regulatory engagements.
• Partner with Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal and Compliance leaders to influence procurement strategy and operating model design.
• Build, develop and scale high‑performing procurement teams, establishing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, supply‑chain or operational roles within large, complex and highly regulated organisations (financial services preferred).
• Proven ownership of enterprise‑scale Purchase‑to‑Order or procurement operations supporting $500 M+ of annual spend.
• Strong experience with enterprise procurement platforms.
