Vice President of Finance & Controller

About the role

Palco is seeking a Vice President of Finance & Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This senior leader will ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and financial integrity across all business functions while supporting a fast‑growing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual close process, delivering accurate financials on a reliable schedule.
• Establish and enforce a disciplined close calendar with clear deadlines, ownership and review controls.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase the speed, accuracy and consistency of the close process.
• Ensure all balance‑sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month with no aged or unexplained balances.
• Build standardized reconciliation processes, including documentation, review and approval workflows.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across systems (GL, payroll, billing, bank activity) to maintain alignment.
• Maintain clear visibility into cash position, own treasury functions, manage banking relationships and oversee liquidity.
• Develop, own and continuously improve the internal control environment, establishing segregation of duties and approval structures.
