Vice President of Construction (Multi-family)

About the role

Our client, a privately held developer/owner/manager of Class‑A+ multifamily assets, is seeking a Vice President of Construction to join the senior leadership team. The role will drive quality control and construction execution across a growing portfolio of projects in the Southeast and Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, manage and execute the company’s development projects from pre‑construction through close‑out.
• Implement and enforce company standards across all markets while preserving each project’s unique attributes.
• Coordinate punch‑list and close‑out procedures to ensure seamless hand‑over to Property Management.
• Develop and apply project‑specific strategies to meet schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Travel extensively to project sites as required.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of experience in multi‑family construction, development, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of real‑estate development, construction processes, and industry best practices.
• Effective organizational, prioritization and time‑management abilities.
• Pre‑construction experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, building science or architecture; advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred.
• Residency in Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA (relocation assistance available).
