Vice President, Field CISO – Financial Services (North America)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Vice President, Field CISO for Financial Services in North America. The role will act as the primary security advisor to the region’s largest financial institutions, helping them strengthen cyber‑resilience, manage fraud risk and build digital trust.

Key responsibilities

• Engage senior customer executives—including CISOs, CIOs, CROs and board members—to provide strategic cybersecurity guidance.
• Translate complex security concepts into business outcomes, risk reduction and competitive advantage.
• Lead executive briefings, advisory sessions and strategic customer engagements across the region.
• Capture market trends and customer insights to influence Mastercard’s product, engineering and innovation road‑maps.
• Partner with Sales, Product and Services teams to identify and pursue strategic opportunities that drive revenue growth and customer retention.
• Represent Mastercard at industry conferences, executive forums and CISO community events.
• Develop executive‑level content such as presentations, white papers and market perspectives.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of influencing C‑level executives and shaping security strategy.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to link security initiatives to measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and thought‑leadership skills for executive‑level engagements.
