Vendor & Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund is seeking a Vendor & Procurement Specialist Consultant. The role supports vendor financial management, procurement coordination, contract administration, and governance processes, providing operational support for vendor invoicing and procure‑to‑pay activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoicing, payment verification, requisitions, shopping carts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate procurement activities with internal stakeholders and maintain KPI dashboards and reports.
• Conduct a current‑state assessment of invoicing, accounts payable, contract administration and procurement processes.
• Document existing workflows, perform gap analysis and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop a future‑state operating model, governance framework (RACI), SOPs, templates and an implementation roadmap.
• Support rollout of new processes, assess technology solutions, and prepare RFI/RFP documentation.
• Deliver operational vendor invoicing support, create a centralized documentation repository, and provide staff training and knowledge transfer.
• Prepare a final report summarizing achievements, recommendations and next steps.

Required profile

• Experience in vendor financial management, procurement coordination, contract administration and governance.
• Ability to assess and optimise existing processes and develop operating models and SOPs.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Preference for candidates currently based in New York; remote arrangements may be considered.
