Van Driver

About the role

Encompass Health is seeking a reliable Van Driver to provide safe transportation for patients, families, staff, and visitors. You will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient care within a community‑focused hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate transportation vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and promptly report any maintenance needs.
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Lift and transfer patients using proper safety equipment.
• Respond to patient emergencies and apply CPR when needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven.
• CPR and First Aid training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous transportation experience.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
