U.S. Tax Manager

About the role

Pharming Healthcare Inc. is seeking a proactive U.S. Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, accounting and SOX control activities for its U.S. operations. The role will ensure accurate federal, state and local tax filings, high-quality tax reporting under U.S. GAAP and robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all corporate income tax filings (federal, state, local) for U.S. legal entities and maintain a compliance calendar.
• Review tax returns prepared by external advisors for accuracy and alignment with group policies.
• Oversee sales & use tax, property tax and other indirect tax obligations.
• Maintain and test SOX‑related tax controls, collaborating with internal audit, finance and external auditors.
• Perform quarterly and annual tax provisioning under U.S. GAAP, including current and deferred tax calculations.
• Support the Head of Tax on ad‑hoc projects, tax planning initiatives and broader strategic business matters.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in U.S. corporate tax compliance and reporting.
• Experience working in a dynamic biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams and manage external advisors.
• Solid understanding of SOX requirements and U.S. GAAP tax accounting.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with excellent attention to detail.
