U.S. Army Perioperative Nurse

About the role

The U.S. Army is seeking qualified Perioperative Nurses to join its surgical teams. You will provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the entire surgical journey, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver nursing services before, during, and after surgery.
• Supervise patient experience in coordination with the surgical team.
• Provide clinical, administrative, safety, educational, and research support as an officer.
• Participate in training, continued education, seminars, and conferences to stay current with perioperative practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN‑accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license and successful NCLEX completion.
• At least 1 year of full‑time perioperative nursing experience for Active Duty or 6 months RN experience within the past year for Reserve.
• Completion of the 66E Perioperative Nursing Course or documented equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship for Active Duty positions.
