U.S. Army Perioperative Nurse (Active Duty/Reserve)

About the role

The U.S. Army is seeking qualified Perioperative Nurses to join its medical team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients throughout the entire operative process, supporting both active‑duty and reserve components.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver nursing services before, during, and after surgery.
• Supervise patient experience in coordination with the surgical team.
• Provide clinical, administrative, safety, educational, and research support to patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training, seminars, and conferences to stay current with perioperative practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN‑accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license and successful NCLEX completion.
• At least 1 year of full‑time perioperative nursing experience for Active Duty applicants, or 6 months recent RN experience for Reserve applicants.
• Completion of the 66E Perioperative Nursing Course or documented equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship for Active Duty positions.
