Unlicensed Veterinary Technician – Full Time

About the role

PetVet Care Centers' Westfield Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated Unlicensed Veterinary Technician to join our full‑time team. You will support hospital operations by delivering quality animal care and exceptional service to our patients and their owners.

Key responsibilities

• Determine animal needs through examinations, interviews, and review of care plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests, and imaging.
• Assist veterinarians during surgeries and other procedures, including restraining and positioning patients.
• Provide nursing care: take vital signs, collect samples, administer medications, vaccines, and bandage wounds.
• Maintain clean patient areas, ensure food and water availability, and monitor clinical signs.
• Manage medical supplies, equipment, and patient records.
• Oversee triage, discharge processes, and medication verification.

Required profile

• Qualified candidate with experience in a veterinary or animal‑care setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.

Required skills

• Animal handling and restraint.
• Veterinary clinical procedures (examinations, sample collection, medication administration).
• Diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing.
• Use of specialized veterinary equipment.
