University Laboratory School Database and SIS Manager

About the role

The University Laboratory School is seeking a dedicated manager to oversee its Student Information System (SIS) and related data applications. This role ensures accurate student records, smooth system operations, and effective data integration across campus services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the SIS, configuring enrollment structures, calendars, grading, attendance, schedules, transcripts, permissions, workflows and related functionality.
• Manage system updates, patches, releases, vendor communications and evaluate new features for operational improvement.
• Provide technical and functional support, train administrators, teachers, counselors and develop user guides, FAQs and training resources.
• Establish and monitor data‑validation processes, audits, exception reports and reconciliation procedures to guarantee data accuracy and completeness.
• Handle data imports, exports, bulk updates and routine database maintenance.
• Maintain integrations between the SIS and learning management, assessment, food services and identity‑management systems, troubleshooting APIs, interfaces and data feeds.
• Document integration requirements, standards and procedures, and act as liaison among users, technology staff and the SIS vendor.

Required profile

• Proven experience as the primary administrator or subject‑matter expert for a Student Information System.
• Demonstrated ability to manage system updates, vendor relationships and evaluate new SIS functionalities.
• Experience developing data‑validation, audit and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
• Capability to train diverse school staff and produce clear documentation and support materials.
