About the role

Join Zurich’s Underwriting organization for a Summer 2027 internship in New York, working alongside experienced professionals on real projects that support business growth and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands‑on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.

Required profile

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; rising junior or senior.
• Microsoft Office experience and legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Preferred: GPA ≥ 3.0, strong problem‑solving, communication, analytical skills, and leadership experience.
