Underground Electrical Frontline Supervisor

About the role

The Underground Electrical Frontline Supervisor will lead surface and underground electrical operations for Goldstrike Operations, ensuring reliable power delivery and compliance with safety standards in a 24/7 mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation, maintenance and repair of high‑voltage distribution systems, industrial control panels and mine‑specific electrical infrastructure.
• Supervise 15+ electrical technicians across three shifts and coordinate contractor activities for $1M+ capital projects.
• Conduct monthly arc‑flash risk assessments, maintain NFPA 70E and NEC compliance, and manage a $2M+ annual spare‑parts inventory.
• Optimize maintenance workflows using SAP CMMS, troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems, and review engineering drawings for upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement through root‑cause investigations, energy‑efficiency initiatives and cross‑training programs.

Required profile

• MSHA Part 48 certification, perfect safety record, and valid Nevada state electrical supervisor license.
• 8+ years maintaining underground electrical systems (1 kV+ distribution, diesel‑electric haulage, refuge station backups) and at least two full mine‑lifecycle projects.
• 5+ years of leadership experience supervising teams of 10+ in 24/7 operations and managing contractor projects over $500k.
• Experience implementing SAP PM/EAM or similar CMMS.
