Ultrasonographer Technician – Greenport, NY

About the role

This contract position offers a hands‑on opportunity for a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging in a fast‑paced clinical setting. You will work closely with physicians and the care team to ensure accurate, timely ultrasound examinations for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for a variety of ultrasound examinations while adhering to safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Perform and document abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small‑parts ultrasound studies according to established guidelines.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to interpret images and support clinical decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical systems and ensure equipment is routinely inspected and serviced.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and deliver compassionate care throughout each exam.

Required profile

• Current Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification or eligibility, with certification completed within six months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 + years of imaging experience, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating weekends and occasional on‑call hours.
