UAS Maintainer - Mechanic II

About the role

AOC Global Services is hiring a UAS Maintainer - Mechanic II at Fort Huachuca. The role provides Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) maintenance support by performing scheduled and unscheduled field-level maintenance at multiple flight lines and maintenance training facilities, on various shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service and repair components of Group 1, 2 and 3 UAS in line with maintenance technical manuals and aviation regulations.
• Service ground support equipment used with UAS.
• Prepare detailed reports on troubleshooting, maintenance actions and repairs.
• Use hand and power tools for assembly and disassembly of UAS components.
• Safely transport UAS and support equipment between work and flight areas.
• Follow UAS operational and safety regulations, and comply with flight and ground operation procedures.
• Work standing for more than an hour, lift up to 30 pounds, and document all maintenance in logbooks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of documented experience in UAS, aviation or electronics maintenance.
• Experience in U.S. Army aviation maintenance or an equivalent military or civilian environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold or be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance.
• Ability to pass a medical examination.
• Flexible to work shifts as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent education, certifications or work/military experience.

Required skills

• IT integration, sensor and mesh network integration.
• Electronics/RF systems knowledge and battery system familiarity.
• Weight and balance, tool room operations, QC and production control processes.
• Desired: CFD-IC (ABIC) certification, FAA Part 107, RQ-7B Shadow 200 or 15E course, and 15 series MOS.
