Trusts & Estates Planning Associate Attorney

About the role

Our firm is expanding its Trusts & Estates Department and seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to provide personalized estate planning counsel to individuals and families. The position is based in our Lake Success office and requires a full five‑day onsite presence.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, wealth preservation, and succession planning.
• Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, and related documents.
• Assist clients with estate and gift tax planning, asset protection, business succession, and charitable giving.
• Support probate and administration matters in Surrogate’s Court.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in New York State.
• At least 4 years of experience in trusts and estates planning, estate administration, or elder law.
• Familiarity with Surrogate’s Court procedures and probate administration.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
