Trust & Estates Associate Attorney

About the role

Offit Kurman, a growing Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Trusts and Estates Practice Group. This position offers the chance to work with individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning and litigation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Create tailored estate plans for clients, addressing wealth preservation, trust administration, real estate issues, and premarital/postmarital agreements.
• Represent beneficiaries, executors, and trustees in disputes, including fiduciary duty claims, will contests, elective share claims, and enforcement of agreement obligations.
• Collaborate with the fiduciary litigation team on both defending and prosecuting trust and estate claims.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia bar (required).
• 7‑12 years of experience in trusts and estates planning and/or estate litigation (preferred).
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in building a long‑term practice in trusts and estates law.
