Truck Upfitting Specialist

About the role

Cowboy Upfitters is seeking a full‑time Truck Upfitting Specialist for its Ogden location. The role involves installing a variety of equipment such as pumps, lights, generators, tanks, and storage solutions on trucks used in construction and logistics operations. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of solving problems on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Complete truck upfitting projects using documented processes and meet scheduled timelines.
• Install diesel, gas, or PTO‑driven electric generators.
• Install water pumps, hose reels, and perform all necessary plumbing connections.
• Fit shelving, racks, hooks, and other storage media.
• Run and connect wiring for strobe lights, outlets, and work lights.
• Ensure all components are installed with quality and safety standards.
• Perform welding on aluminum and steel as required.
• Execute other assigned tasks related to truck upfitting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in fabrication and component installation.
• General knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to handle shifting priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in construction or concrete industries is a plus.
• Organized, responsible, and able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to a drug‑free workplace.
