Truck Mechanic

About the role

A-Core Concrete Specialists is seeking an experienced full‑time Truck Mechanic to work in its fast‑paced shop. You will service a fleet primarily composed of Ford F350‑F750 trucks, performing both preventative maintenance and technical repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and technical repairs on light‑duty pickups to semi‑trucks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct multi‑point vehicle inspections, including DOT compliance checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure efficient workflow.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Research, order, and manage parts inventory to meet service demands.
• Other tasks as assigned by shop management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience working on trucks.
• Pass a drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Own a complete set of tools.
• Ability to lift 75 lb and perform data entry on a PC or tablet.
• Organized, responsible, self‑motivated and punctual.

Required skills

• Experience with Ford F350‑F750 trucks (Ford 6.7 engine preferred).
• Preventative maintenance and technical repair techniques.
• Mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• DOT vehicle inspection procedures.
• Use of Eptura (Manager Plus) and J‑Pro Fleet software (preferred).
• Parts ordering and inventory management.
