Treasury Enterprise Architect

About the role

The Treasury Enterprise Architect will provide strategic technical guidance for Treasury business lines owned by the Department of Treasury’s Bureau of Fiscal Service. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Services, you will shape enterprise architecture standards, ensure scalability, security, and drive innovation across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate technology strategy, standards, processes, and target state architectures for Treasury systems.
• Partner with system and Treasury stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with business objectives.
• Represent the Treasury portfolio in system workgroups, facilitating technical discussions and consensus building.
• Develop forward‑looking technical roadmaps, identify cross‑team challenges, and ensure architecture runway.
• Lead technical discussions, provide architectural guidance, and influence technology decisions.
• Create a community of practice among enterprise, solution, and application architects and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with product owners, technology leaders, developers, and business users to design and deliver solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within financial or government institutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.
• Ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on security, scalability, and reusability.
