Traveling Orthodontic Assistant

About the role

The Orthodontic Assistant will support orthodontists in both Waco and Killeen clinics, assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and office tasks while traveling between locations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dental care and assist the orthodontist during treatment.
• Remove and place arch wires, brackets, and perform tooth preparation prior to bonding.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric X‑rays, capture oral photographs, and perform accurate computer charting.
• Maintain sterilization of chairs and instruments and provide oral hygiene instructions.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed and ensure a professional, positive attitude with patients and co‑workers.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact.
• Previous experience as a dental assistant is required.
