Traveling Centrifuge Operator – Heavy Equipment & Waste Handling

About the role

HPC-Industrial is seeking a Traveling Centrifuge Operator to join its environmental services team. You will operate a variety of heavy‑equipment units on‑site, handle waste unloading from trucks, and ensure safe, compliant operations across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses, and associated ancillary equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
• Run special equipment including centrifugal and positive‑displacement pumps and 5K pressure washers.
• Complete daily checklists, paperwork, and waste‑tracking documentation.
• Secure containers with chock blocks or jack stands and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and report any unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management to support Clean Harbors operations.

Required profile

• Vocational training with classroom safety instruction and on‑the‑job experience.
• Ability to understand English safety training and respond in emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; may need a TWIC credential.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lb and work effectively in a team environment.
• At least 6 months of centrifuge operating experience preferred.
