About the role
The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville is seeking a Travel & Purchasing Specialist to support travel coordination and procurement activities. This temporary, fixed‑term position will work closely with university departments to ensure efficient travel arrangements and purchasing processes.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange and manage travel bookings for university staff and students, ensuring compliance with travel policies.
- Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and maintain procurement records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify travel and purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the university’s Workday system.
- Provide customer service and resolve travel‑related issues.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas employee or student eligible to work in the position.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Experience using the Workday platform for procurement or travel management.
