Transportation Supervisor – Driver Training & Compliance

About the role

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing driver performance, safety, and compliance within our operating company. This role ensures that deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the broader transportation team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate drivers, handling staffing and performance management.
• Assist with driver scheduling and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Ride with drivers for training and evaluation purposes.
• Support the Transportation/Operations Manager with daily administration, including payroll calculations, trip log reviews, and expense reporting.
• Enter and manage data in the automated fleet management system.
• Monitor vehicle safety, proper use of equipment, and safe handling practices.
• Maintain accurate driver documentation such as DOT logs, DVIRs, qualification files, and accident reports.
• Coordinate tracking of driver licenses, tickets, accidents, and other safety‑related information.
• Ensure trucks, tractors, and trailers are properly inspected and maintained.
• Collaborate to minimize operating expenses and optimize routing.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of transportation or related experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Experience using computerized fleet management systems.
• Willingness to work a shift starting at 2 am.
