Transportation Engineering Internship

About the role

This internship offers civil and environmental engineering students hands‑on experience in transportation planning and analysis. Working with DRMP’s engineering team in Raleigh, you will support real projects while continuing your academic studies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering, planning, and administrative calculations and analyses for assigned projects.
• Provide technical support for engineering and planning tasks, including data evaluation using software tools.
• Assist in creating project deliverables such as written documentation, graphics, and reports.
• Support the development and production of project graphics and visualizations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Strong organizational and writing skills for report preparation and documentation.
• Effective verbal communication and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience or willingness to learn Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications.
