Transportation Claims Adjuster – Michigan

About the role

Davies North America is seeking a Transportation Claims Adjuster to join its Michigan team. In this role you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve commercial transportation‑related claims, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage moderate‑complexity auto transportation claims involving Bodily Injury (BI) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) exposures.
• Conduct independent coverage analysis and develop claim‑specific strategies.
• Handle files with attorney representation and moderate litigation activity.
• Collaborate with clients, insureds, medical providers and other stakeholders to achieve timely claim resolution.
• Demonstrate growing expertise in transportation‑related liability claims.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in auto transportation claims.
• Active Michigan claims adjusting license (reciprocal licenses acceptable).
• Strong knowledge of liability claims handling practices.
• Experience with BI, PIP, or other transportation‑related exposures.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple claims while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Proficiency with claims management systems and related technology.
• Exposure to high‑exposure or litigated claims and multi‑party liability claims is a plus.
