Transmission Line Construction Estimator

About the role

Wilson Construction Company is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Construction Estimator to join its Canby, OR office. The role provides technical leadership on high‑voltage transmission line projects and ensures accurate cost estimates from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for large EHV transmission line projects, including hard‑dollar and alternate contracting models (EPC, Progressive Design Bid).
• Develop, plan, coordinate, and fulfill all technical requirements related to project estimating.
• Serve as the primary communication link between the project owner and internal teams.
• Represent the company in day‑to‑day project tasks and activities, both on‑site and off‑site.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of progressive experience in transmission line estimating, with at least two years in a lead estimator role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors, travel as needed, and reside within reasonable commuting distance to Canby (or relocate).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Project (beneficial).
• Experience with Primavera (beneficial).
