Transmission Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Wilson Construction Company is seeking a self‑motivated Transmission Assistant Project Manager to support utility transmission line projects across the Western United States. This entry‑level position splits time between field offices and the headquarters in Canby, Oregon, with travel and on‑site lodging provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Schedulers with administrative tasks and daily status updates.
• Prepare three‑ and five‑day look‑ahead schedules.
• Generate Requests for Information (RFIs), transmittals, and submittals.
• Schedule materials, track deliveries, and help approve material invoices.
• Track equipment and vehicle usage in right‑of‑way areas.
• Maintain spreadsheets and provide overall project support for all departments.
• Deliver paperwork and perform errands as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated, independent yet team‑oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 (preferred).
