Transformation and Readiness Manager

About the role

Moog’s Space & Defense Group in Salt Lake City is seeking a Transformation and Readiness Manager to lead modern factory initiatives, production ramp NRE, error prevention, and Lean Management System progression. Reporting to the General Manager – Missiles, you will work onsite in a collaborative 9/80 schedule to ensure the site can scale execution, stabilize processes, and deliver high‑reliability actuation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Salt Lake City readiness pipeline for new ramps, transitions, and rate capability.
• Partner with Value Stream Managers, Engineering, and Manufacturing to drive quality‑focused innovation.
• Lead non‑recurring efforts for munition acceleration programs and emerging growth demands.
• Drive capital readiness to support increased production rates.
• Implement DFx principles to embed tolerancing and producibility into designs.
• Develop and execute error‑prevention strategies and investigations.
• Advance Lean Operational Excellence across the site.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with proven experience in manufacturing transformation and readiness.
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high‑stakes projects in aerospace or defense environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
